Apostle Highlands Golf Course is a Public 18 hole golf course located in Bayfield, Wisconsin.
Apostle Highlands Golf Course first opened for play in 1991. The course was designed by Stan Korpella.
The course is located on a hilltop overlooking the Apostle Islands, from which it gets it's name. Surrounded by the world's largest freshwater sea, the Bayfield Peninsula provides the setting for Apostle Highlands Golf Course. Lake Superior can be seen on 13 holes. The terrain features many elevation changes, so expect some uneven lies. Water hazards (four ponds) come into play on three holes.
#9, a 383-yard, par 4, is the signature hole and features water guarding the front and both sides of the green.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 6332 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5127 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 10, a par-5 that plays to 524 Yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 2, a par-3 that plays to 138 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 3, a 517 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Apostle Highlands Golf Course is # 17, a 142 yard par-3.
